Portrait of Uri Aibila.
Hamer men wear patterned blankets to protect themselves from the dusty gusts that can blow fiercely during windy season. Hamer woman do not wear same patterns as men.
Uri was resting on this tree branch on the dry river bank and watching me photograph other people. So I asked him not to move and took his portrait.
I liked the way that he was leaning comfortably on the branch and how his body, wrapped in his blanket, extended the snaking lines of the brach to the ground.
